Perlen Industrieholding AG, founded in June 2024 and OTC traded, comprises the paper business of Perlen Papier AG and the real estate on the industrial site in Perlen. Perlen Papier has been producing and selling graphic papers since 1873. The newsprint and magazine papers produced today are among the graphic papers that are supplied primarily to publishers and printing companies. There, they are used for the production of newspapers, magazines, journals and advertising inserts.
Today, Perlen Papier’s paper mill – with its two paper machines, PM4 and PM7 – is among the most modern in Europe, and since 2020 has been the first company in the world to offer climate-neutral newsprint paper. Thanks to its virtually CO₂-neutral production, Perlen Papier positions itself as a sustainable supplier of wood-containing graphic newsprint. As Switzerland’s largest recycler of waste paper, Perlen Papier plays an essential role in closing the waste paper resource cycle.
At the same time, Perlen Papier is expanding its target market segment with new products in the specialty papers sector and through the use of alternative fibres. In addition, the company is promoting the optimal use of the large industrial site in Perlen.
